Conference Overview
For six years, we built the largest community of young cyber talent in Africa. Now, we are putting them to work. Africa CyberFest 2026 is not just a conference; it is a production house. We are moving from ‘Awareness’ to ‘Engineering’.
Africa CyberFest has served as the premier gathering for the continent’s digital defenders. Every year We have successfully mobilized over 1,500+ physical attendees, engaged 80+ expert speakers, and generated over a 1M+ digital impressions across the continent. We built a community of enthusiasts; now, we are transforming them into engineers.
The 2026 edition represents a decisive shift. As Africa undergoes rapid digital transformation, our threat landscape has evolved. We are no longer just facing financial fraud and malware; the continent now grapples with surveillance, internet shutdowns, and the weaponization of infrastructure.
Our security stack remains 90% dependent on closed-source, foreign tools. This creates a massive sovereignty risk. Africa CyberFest 2026 is the answer to that risk: a convergence of the Next-Gen Builders and industry leaders to architect a resilient, self-sustaining African cyber ecosystem.
We must transition from being consumers of foreign security products to becoming architects of our own defense, africa cyberfest addresses these critical challenges head-on, focusing on Digital Sovereignty, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), and Resilient Engineering.
We are shifting the paradigm from “breaking things” to “building defenses.”

Past Conference Theme
Cybersecurity for the Intelligence Age
The age of AI is transforming our world, unlocking new possibilities to enhance human abilities and extend opportunities in Africa and globally. It is estimated that AI could double the GDP rate of African countries by 2035. Nations in Africa are already developing AI strategies and implementing data protection laws for the development of an AI Ecosystem. However, alongside these numerous benefits, development and rapidly evolving digital landscape, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) also introduces new challenges and expands the threat landscape.
